Last updated: September 19, 2026
At Eduos, we value the privacy and protection of our users' personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, how we use it, with whom it may be shared, and users' rights regarding their personal data.
By using Eduos, the user acknowledges having read this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope of this Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the use of Eduos and the various features, tools, and services available on the platform.
Its purpose is to clearly explain the processing of personal data that may occur while using Eduos.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on the features used within Eduos, we may collect information provided directly by the user, such as first and last name, email address, educational institution, course or academic level, username, and other information needed to create and manage an account.
We may also collect information related to use of the platform, including activity within Eduos, logged-in sessions, features used, technical logs, IP address, browser type, operating system, device used, and other information needed to ensure the proper functioning and security of the service.
When certain educational features require it, Eduos may process academic information entered by the user or an authorized educational institution.
3. Purposes of Processing
Personal data may be used to provide and administer Eduos services; create, authenticate, and maintain user accounts; offer available educational tools and features; save settings and preferences; provide technical support; improve the platform's operation, performance, and user experience; prevent unauthorized access, fraud, or misuse; comply with legal obligations; and send communications related to the operation of the service.
Promotional communications, if any, will be sent in accordance with applicable law and the user's preferences or consent where required.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Eduos will process personal data only when there is a lawful basis to do so, including providing services requested by the user, complying with legal obligations, the data subject's consent where applicable, and other grounds permitted by applicable law.
Where processing relies on consent, that consent may later be withdrawn without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.
5. Data Concerning Minors
Due to Eduos's educational nature, some users may be minors.
In such cases, Eduos will take measures to provide special protection for their personal data and apply any consent, authorization, or representation requirements that correspond under applicable law and the user's age.
Where necessary, certain features may require authorization from a parent, legal guardian, or educational institution authorized to provide it.
Eduos does not intend to knowingly collect information about minors where such collection is not legally permitted.
6. Educational Institutions
When an Eduos account is provided or managed by an educational institution, that institution may manage certain data in accordance with the relationship between the institution, the student, and Eduos.
The institution may access only the information necessary to administer the relevant educational services, in accordance with its permissions and applicable law.
7. Sharing Information
Eduos does not sell its users' personal data.
Information may be shared with technology providers needed to operate the platform, such as providers of hosting, storage, authentication, security, email, technology infrastructure, or service-performance analytics.
These providers must process the information only for the relevant purposes and in accordance with applicable contractual and legal obligations.
We may also disclose information when necessary to comply with a legal obligation or an order from a competent authority, or to protect the rights and safety of Eduos, its users, or third parties.
8. Information Security
Eduos applies reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against loss, alteration, destruction, unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
These measures may include authentication mechanisms, access controls, encryption where appropriate, security logs, and other practices intended to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of information.
However, no system connected to the Internet can guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Retention
Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, maintain the account and provide requested services, resolve potential disputes, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
When data is no longer necessary, it may be deleted, anonymized, or blocked in accordance with applicable law.
10. User Rights
In accordance with applicable law, users may exercise the rights available to them regarding their personal data, including access to their data, correction of inaccurate or outdated information, updating, deletion, objection to certain processing, suspension of processing, or portability where applicable.
Likewise, where processing is based on consent, the user may withdraw it in accordance with the conditions established by law.
Where necessary, Eduos may request information reasonably needed to verify the user's identity before processing a request concerning their personal data.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Eduos may use cookies and similar technologies needed to maintain logged-in sessions, remember certain preferences, protect the platform, analyze its operation, and improve the user experience.
Where applicable law requires consent for certain cookies, Eduos will provide mechanisms to accept, reject, or configure their use.
12. Third-Party Services
Eduos may use services or integrations provided by third parties. These providers may process certain information necessary to provide their services and may be subject to their own privacy policies.
When a feature redirects the user to an external website or service, Eduos is not responsible for that third party's independent privacy practices.
13. Account Deletion
The user may request deletion of their account and associated personal data where applicable.
Certain information may be retained after an account is deleted when strictly necessary to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, maintain security records, or resolve disputes.
14. Changes to this Policy
Eduos may update this Privacy Policy when there are changes to the platform, the technologies used, or applicable legal obligations.
When changes are significant, users will be informed through the platform itself or by other reasonable means.
The date of the latest update will be indicated at the beginning of this document.
